Tag Line – Ultra-speed, improved efficiency and not the least additional GPU cores are the hallmark of the about-to-release Apple M2 chip. There are a lot more important revelations about the upcoming Apple M2 MacBook, stay tuned with us and watch the video till the end to get to know why must you prefer M2 MacBook. General Narrative Apple is developing a next-generation version of the silicon chip, called “M2”. The M2 is expected to be launched in 2022, and current rumours suggest it could replace the M1, with Apple using it in upcoming MacBook Air models later this year. The M2 is the next-generation version of Apple Silicone and will replace the first M2 chip, the ‌M1‌ chip. It won’t be as powerful as the ‌M1 Max‌ and ‌M1 Pro‌, but it will be more powerful than the ‌M1‌, the chip designed to replace it. It is also rumoured to be coming with the latest version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Why should you buy it? The M2 is anticipated to have the same 8-core CPU as the ‌M1‌, but there will be better speed and enhanced efficiency improvements as it is expected to be built on TSMC’s 4-nanometer process.   It is also expected to have additional GPU cores with 9 and 10 core GPU options, more than the 7 and 8-core GPU options in the original ‍M1 chip.   Reliable rumours point out that the M2 Max chip features a 12-core CPU and a 38-core GPU, along with 64GB of memory.   Design There are various rumours about replacing the 13in MacBook Pro with M1. It could be a refreshed and updated 13in MacBook Pro with the same design as before. It could be a new M2 version of the 14in MacBook Pro. Or the 13in MacBook Pro could be replaced with a MacBook that adopts the brand-new design that is rumoured for the MacBook Air. The Touch Bar will also be facilitated by the M2. However, the new MacBook’s new design is rumoured to have abandoned the classic tapered ‘wedge’ shape in favour of a new uniform shape – so the new Mac laptop may have space for more ports and cooling. ۔ More ports are definitely something it needs – currently limited to two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports. We’d love to see the HDMI port, as found on the 14in and 16in models, but we don’t expect to see an SD card slot. GPU The real difference is in the number of graphics cores. It is thought that Apple will add more GPU cores to the M2 – newer machines may have options for 9 and 10-core GPUs, more than the currently offered 7 and 8-core GPUs.
